This is why we need your support – to make lives better for people in Newquay, now and in the future.
People turn to Newquay Foodbank in times of worry and stress.
There are multiple reason they do so. Perhaps they are homeless, have been made redundant, have health and wellbeing concerns, have been affected by bereavement or a relationship breakdown, or simply have a low income that forces them to choose between paying bills or rent and buying food.
It is not an easy decision to make as many people feel embarrassed or ashamed of having to seek help to feed themselves, their families and their pets.
Whatever their circumstances, at Newquay Foodbank we offer a welcoming, safe and non-judgmental place for people to seek help when most needed.
Alongside being there to provide emergency food, we work with our visitors to set them back on the road to regaining their financial independence.
We do this by providing wraparound care, such as budgeting or wellbeing advice, through our Pathways service and Support Coaches. We work with partner agencies, such as the Citizens Advice, community pharmacist, and social housing providers to offer advice and guidance.
