Christmas Box Appeal 2023

Christmas is meant to be a time of joy and celebration but for families experiencing financial crisis it can be a time of heart-ache and pain. No parent wants to see their child go without at Christmas but many simply won’t have a choice.   

Tragically, desperate parents may resort to high-interest short-term loans, creating even more difficulty; but what would you do if there was nothing under the tree? 

Our Christmas Giving Appeal looks to ensure that not only every family in Newquay gets to sit down to a proper meal on Christmas day, but also that no one has to go without this winter. 

Each Christmas parcel includes a butcher’s meat voucher, hearty veggies, a delicious Christmas pudding, plus chocolates and more.  

Last year, through your generosity, we were able to support over 460 people, at Christmas – however this year we are expecting an increase in demand of over 37%, meaning that your donations are more needed than ever before.  

We are also working in partnership with the Salvation Army to provide presents for children who may not otherwise receive anything this year. 

We need your support. You can donate funds directly, donate items from our Christmas shopping list to one of our donation points or take part in our Reverse Advent Calendar.
